The Pennsylvania Department of Education- Office of Commonwealth Libraries will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2013-2017, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In Pennsylvania, specific goals address 1) Facilitating the statewide expansion of electronic and physical linkages to coordinate and improve delivery of resources; 2) Creating opportunities for libraries to enhance their capacity to provide 21st Century resources, services and programs to their communities; and 3) Preserving unique collections and preparing libraries for disaster recovery.
