Association of Moving Image Archivists
Log Number: RE-260770-OLS-26
The Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) will extend its existing fellowship program, which is designed to expand access to careers in audiovisual preservation while strengthening the capacity of institutions that steward audiovisual collections. Building on previous success, this iteration will support two cohorts of fellows through paid internships, mentorship, a professional development program, and an alumni program that continues skills development beyond the fellowship. Fellows will work with audiovisual collections, contribute to preservation activities at host institutions, and, through a partnership with the Community Archiving Workshop (CAW) Collective, gain additional hands-on experience that supports under-resourced community archives. This program represents a practical and replicable model for expanding entry into the field, particularly for those who may be unable to pursue graduate education.
