Thanks to funding from IMLS, Alele Museum, Public Library and National Archives continues to provide library programs for the Marshall Islands through ongoing library computer training and connectivity projects. Alele also continued its intergenerational digital literacy offerings in partnership with organizations that serve the island’s aging population and youth. The library paid for newly available fiber connectivity to bring higher bandwidth to library users and enhance their use of databases, e-books, online journals, and regularly scheduled virtual tours. Additionally, as part of this IMLS funded project, Alele offers computer classes and book lending services at the local Retirees Center.
